Nightside midlatitude ionospheric arcs: TIMED/GUVI observations [1]\ Midlatitude arcs (MLA) are the phenomenon of the nightside enhancements of ionospheric electron density at 20\textdegree-45\textdegree magnetic latitudes in both hemispheres.
