Contributions of imaging Echelle spectrographs to daytime optical aeronomy We present a brief overview of the contributions made by high spectral resolution imaging spectrographs that are capable of obtaining daytime airglow and auroral emissions in the presence of scattered solar background continuum, to the advancement in our understanding of the dynamics in daytime upper atmosphere.
